The Northern Kenya Education Trust NOKET supports access to quality education for students from arid and pastoralist counties of Kenya.
These students experience many challenges. The high and rising cost of post-primary education puts this out of reach of many, while female students face additional cultural barriers to their progression through school. The result is low representation in university admissions and insufficient numbers of professionals from arid areas who can contribute to national development and to the development of their counties.
